Shared Bogs, Shared Future – Peatlands Past and Present
As part of the Shared Bogs, Shared Future project, join us at the Strule Arts Centre for a shared peatland heritage drop-in event celebrating World Peatland Day. Róisín Black, Peatland Engagement Officer, and Dr Vicky Ginn, Archaeologist at the Historic Environment Division (DfC), will explore the hidden archaeology of peatlands, revealing the remarkable sites preserved within them and highlighting how peatland restoration can help safeguard historic landscapes. Together, they will share insights into the peatlands of Fermanagh and Omagh, showcase work taking place locally, and outline ways to get involved in future projects.
This relaxed and informative event is open to everyone. Drop in anytime between 12–2pm to connect, learn and be inspired by these special landscapes.
