A Celebration of Steam: Railway Exhibition Tour & SteamEngine Showcase
Join us for a unique one-off event as we celebrate steam-powered travel. Local author and railway enthusiast Tony McGartland will take you on a very special guided tour of our new Railway exhibition in the rooftop museum Strule Arts Centre.
You will then be guided across to view the steam road engines up close en masse at the Hotel Rue car park, with more than 20 magnificent full-sized engines travelling from across the UK and Ireland. Speak to the drivers and learn more about these remarkable engines as part of the Great Northern Road Run.
- Free event, open to the public (no age restrictions) but booking necessary as spaces are limited.
- Tony McGartland Guided Exhibition tour (in the rooftop exhibition space) at 12.30pm will last approximately 50 minutes followed by steam engine viewing at Hotel Rue carpark.
