Making a Book of Belonging - print, paint, play!
This workshop day offers you an exciting opportunity to create a variety of small works in different media that will become part of a Book of Belonging. We will view the concertina art and prayer book that inspired this project and create work around themes relating to our universe, our environment and each other. The tutor will lead you to experiment with watercolour techniques, gel printing using nature, and play with words and colour. No previous experience is required, just the willingness to have a go!
This workshop runs in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Mental Health Festival, celebrating wellbeing, inclusion and belonging. Each person will choose one or two pieces from those made on the day to be part of a concertina book that will be exhibited as part of the NIMHF 2027
Full-day workshop from 10am to 4pm. There will be a 30min break for lunch
Art materials provided, but please feel free to bring some gathered nature (no thorns!)
