About

Join us at the Strule Arts Centre as Sinéad Willox gathers some of Ireland’s finest musicians for a very special performance to celebrate the launch of her debut album, Seoda Uladh (Jewels of Ulster).

Audiences can look forward to hearing captivating arrangements of songs and instrumentals on the night with David J Bell (guitars), Cathal Hayden (banjo, fiddle), Colin Henry (dobro), Pádraig McGovern (uilleann pipes and whistles), Jimmy Higgins (bodhrán & drums), and Nick Scott (double bass and bass) this concert promises a rousing traditional repertoire. Catherine Grimley, Karen Kirby, Helen Cassidy and Eva McRory will join Sinéad on vocals.

Armagh-born folk singer Sinéad Willox is celebrated for her distinctive voice, unique style, and ability to weave story and song with natural affinity. A winner of multiple All-Ireland Oireachtas titles in duet and trio performance, Sinéad has been singing since childhood and brings both depth and versatility to her craft.

Hailed by Tumble and folk magazine as a “sublime act”! Sinead’s stunning debut album, ‘Seoda Uladh’ – Jewels of Ulster, is a musical map of Ulster, celebrating the rich musical heritage of the province. The album re-imagines lesser-known traditional songs in both English and Irish from each of Ulster’s nine counties, beautifully re-worked and brought to life with fresh contemporary folk arrangements. The handpicked collection is inspired by themes of home, heritage and belonging.

We look forward to welcoming everyone for what promises to be a powerful and uplifting evening of music!
