As part of Positive Aging Month and in partnership with South West College students, explore the history and memories of two of Omagh's iconic former hotels. Join local historians Vincent Brogan of the Omagh Heritage Forum and Dr Johnny Hamill as they uncover the stories, people and events that shaped these much-loved landmarks and their place in the town's heritage.
We warmly invite former staff, guests, local residents, and anyone with photographs, stories or personal memories of the hotels to come along and share them with students.
If you have old photographs, postcards, menus, memorabilia or treasured mementoes connected to either hotel, we'd love to see them. This promises to be a memorable gathering for former employees, customers, hotel guests, and those who celebrated weddings and special occasions there.
Come along to reminisce, reconnect with familiar faces, preserve local history, and enjoy a morning of memories, conversation and plenty of craic. Whether you worked there, visited as a guest, or simply have fond memories, we would love to hear your stories.
