Strule Arts Centre is delighted to present the work of Belfast based artist, Anushiya Sundaralingam, entitled 'What Remains...'
Anushiya writes: 'My practice is rooted in exploring themes of displacement, identity, and resilience, shaped by my personal journey of migration from Sri Lanka to Northern Ireland. The experience of navigating multiple cultural landscapes sits at the core of my work, prompting reflection on broader social and political issues such as migration, belonging, and memory.
I work across a range of media - painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, installation, and performance. Each medium offers new possibilities for engaging with my ideas, allowing me to construct layered narratives that challenge fixed perceptions of place and self. I use form and material to develop a visual language that speaks to the fragmentation and reconstruction
central to the immigrant experience.'
The exhibition runs until Saturday 31 October, 9.30am -5pm, Monday - Saturday.
Admission is free.
