Know Your Place, delivered through the PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan, is an exciting opportunity to explore the rich and diverse heritage of Omagh, connect with others and help shape the stories we share for future generations.
Discover, Share and Celebrate Your Heritage
The Know Your Place programme offers FREE workshops, talks, events, creative activities, and excursions. This is the first of five workshops; the remaining will take place in 2027. Whether you are interested in local history, family stories, or the evolution of our town, villages and landscapes, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
Through hands-on workshops, you can develop new skills in oral history, or storytelling, podcasting, photography, filmmaking and exhibition design, while discovering, documenting and sharing the stories that matter to you and your community.
This initial workshop will guide you through a co-design process to explore your ideas and experiences that will help shape the next steps of the programme in 2027.
Meet others, share memories and celebrate our diverse cultural roots over free tea and coffee. Spaces are limited on the Rooftop Museum, so book your free place to avoid disappointment.
Discover other heritage workshops throughout the Fermanagh and Omagh areas. More information on other Know Your Place workshops can be found on the PEACEPLUS events page;
