An Evening of Storytelling with Masako Carey at Strule Arts Centre
The Border Talk Project invites you to an enchanting evening of storytelling at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, on Thursday 24th April at 7.30pm, featuring special guest Masako Carey.
Originally from Japan and now a much-loved figure on the Irish storytelling scene, Masako Carey brings a rich and unique voice to the world of traditional tales. Her performances blend Japanese folklore with Irish stories, creating an unforgettable experience.
This event is part of an exciting new series of storytelling sessions, developed through a collaboration between Storytellers of Ireland and the Armstrong Storytelling Trust, and supported by the International Fund for Ireland. The initiative seeks to bring storytelling into the heart of communities while fostering cross-border connections and cultural dialogue.
As always, the spirit of storytelling is one of sharing—stories from the floor are warmly welcomed on the evening, so come prepared to listen, laugh, and maybe even tell a tale of your own. Light refreshments will be served, and everyone is invited to stay and chat after the stories are told. To book your place, please email your host Marcus at tyroneyarnspinners@gmail.com
Come and be part of a growing community connected through the power of story.
