Welcome to The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

On behalf of everyone at Hazel Wand Theatre School, we are thrilled to welcome you to our December Production.

This year, our most senior and experienced students are taking on one of modern musical theatre's most challenging and rewarding shows: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. With a lush, powerful score from Disney and Broadway legends Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, this musical brings Victor Hugo's classic novel to the stage with unforgettable intensity.

The story of the bell-ringer Quasimodo, the persecuted Esmeralda, and the conflicted Frollo is one of injustice, sacrifice, and the true meaning of beauty. It is a story that requires immense vocal talent, emotional range, and courage to perform—qualities our students have demonstrated in abundance throughout the rehearsal process.

This production is a testament to their hard work and their passion for theatre. We invite you to be swept away by the music, moved by the story, and impressed by the incredible young talent on this stage. Thank you for being a vital part of their journey and consider the question you are about to be asked - 'What makes a monster and what makes a man?'
