Celebrating Women and Heritage for International Women's Day, with Poets Cat Brogan and Michelle Dennehy
Celebrate local women and champion the cultural legacy of women from our past, recognising the role literary heroines Alice Milligan and Rose Kavanagh played in shaping our shared heritage. This event will honour women’s voices and creativity across generations, grounding International Women’s Day in the rich cultural history of our place.
The event will open with free tea, coffee and scones, offering a relaxed and welcoming space to gather and connect. Two acclaimed poets and facilitators, Cat Brogan and Michelle Dennehy, will lead the morning through storytelling, poetry, gentle reflection, ending with a soothing guided meditation session.
