Summer Academy – Expression of Interest

Strule Arts Centre is seeking expressions of interest for a potential Youth Summer Academy for young people aged between 12-17. Restrictions permitting, it is proposed that the summer academy will run from 26 July to 20 August, 9-5 Monday to Friday at Strule Arts Centre with breakfast and lunch provided. The cost will be £150 per child per week, the numbers will be limited due to social distancing.

The aim of the summer academy will be to encourage, enhance and build on the creative skills and confidence of the participants each week, i.e. music (will require their own instrument), art, photography, drama; connect young people with similar interests, encourage creativity and strengthen emotional well-being. A different discipline will be covered each week. Participants may take part in one, two, three or all four weeks.

The academy will be facilitated by local tutors. In order to assess the demand, Strule Arts Centre are seeking genuinely interested people to complete this online survey.
