Pop sensation and winner of Dancing With The Stars 2018 - Jake Carter has taken the Irish pop music scene by storm since his launch on Irish national television back in 2017.
Jake has quickly developed a name for himself as the next big thing on the Irish pop music scene and has wowed audiences across the country with his energetic live performances - which usually end with mob’s of teenage girls screaming out his name! To date Jake has released five singles and an EP titled ‘Three Things’, which have all received raving reviews from his loyal fan base and from radio alike.
Ever the one to try new experiences, Jake ended a very busy gigging season in 2017 by trying his hand at acting, and played the lead part of Alladdin in the SSE Arena Belfast alongside co-stars Nadia Forde and Rhydian. He loved the experience and it was made even more special by the fact that it was the first time a panto had be produced in an arena in Ireland or Northern Ireland. “Performing to audiences on that scale every day during panto gave me a hunger to do that for the rest of my life!” says Jake.
Following this Jake had a very short break over Christmas before he was straight into rehersals for RTE’s Dancing With The Stars 2018. Jake quickly established himself as the one to watch in the competition and as the weeks went by Jake and his pro dance partner Karen Byrne wowed the judges and audiences at home with their impressive dance routines - scoring them top marks most weeks and regularly taking top place on the leader board. So it was no surpise when Jake and Karen landed themselves a place in the grand final and ultimately went on to take the title of king and queen of the dance floor 2018.
Following his success on Dancing With The Stars, Jake has released two new singles to radio titled ‘The little Things You Do’ and most recently ‘Take Me Dancing’ which featured pop diva Una Healey better known as one fifth of multiplatinum selling girl group – The Satrudays. The feel good summer dance anthem sits strongly on the pop music charts with a perfect blend of Jake and Una’s musical influences.
Jake recently completed his debut Irish tour which was a roaring success by all accounts, and now due phenominal demand Jake is delighted to be going back on tour this Autumn. “I am over the moon to be going back on tour and myself and the band can’t wait to perform some new material for everyone “ .
